Dr. Peterson Huang is a Dual Board Certified Prosthodontist.  He grew up in Vancouver, Canada where he received his Bachelor in Science degree in Integrated Sciences and a Minor in Music from the University of British Columbia. After obtaining his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, School of Dental Medicine, he received his Certificate of Specialist in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science from the University of Maryland, where he is a Clinical Assistant Professor on the Dean’s Faculty. Dr. Huang has publications in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, “From childhood to adulthood: Oral Rehabilitation of a Patient with Ectodermal Dysplasia” and “The Effect of Various Disinfectants on Dental Shade Guides” (2014).

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists (FACP), a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC) and a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.  Dr. Huang is also a staff member in the Department of Surgery, INOVA Fairfax Hospital and is a member of the Tumor Board there.

When not in the office caring for his dental family, Dr Huang enjoys finding new restaurants to try with family and friends and spending time with his three cats, Captain, Morgan, and MacCavity. He continues to play the piano, which he almost decided to do professionally, after his graduation with an Associates Degree from the Royal Conservatory Of Music in Toronto.

As a prosthodontist, he examines and treats all types of disabilities caused by loss of teeth and supporting structures, this is frequently accomplished with the use of dental implants. With help from his highly trained team members, he provides advanced treatment plans and surgery for the construction of corrective restorations and prostheses to restore proper function and esthetics of the mouth, face, and jaw.

•  Maxillofacial prosthetic procedures such as oral cancer reconstruction and continuing care
•  TMD, TMJ, or other jaw joint ailments
•   Pre-radiation/chemotherapy protocols for head and neck cancer patients
•  Snoring and sleep disorders
•  Cleft palate and other congenital conditions that affect the mouth.

What does full mouth reconstruction mean?

Dental treatment that affects all of the teeth in the mouth is called full mouth reconstruction or full mouth rehabilitation. Prosthodontists are the recognized experts in such treatments. The treatments can range from crowns, bridges, implants, and dentures that will essentially provide a “smile makeover” for the patient.

Lynn – CDA, CDPM

Practice Administrator/Financial Coordinator

Lynn was born in Germany and became a proud American Citizen in 1962.  Her father was a Major in the Army so the family traveled a lot.  Upon his retirement they settled in Falls Church.  Lynn went to George C. Marshall HS then onto Michigan State University, studying microbiology.  She became interested in dentistry and received her Certified Dental Assisting License in 1989 and her Certified Dental Practice Management in 1994.  She is a past president of the Dental Assistant Association, past board member of the Northern Virginia Dental Clinical from 1993-2003.  She has been a proud member of Nova Premier Dental for over 30 years.  Lynn enjoys traveling with her husband, trying new foods, gardening, and visits from her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.

 

 

Jina – DA

Dental Assistant

Jina was born in Iraq and is fluent in Arabic as well as English.  She moved to the USA in 1995 and became a proud American Citizen in 1997.  She is caring and hard working: with over 18 years of dental experience 16 of which has been right here at Nova Premier Dental.  Her smile and cheerful personality brings a warm presence to our practice.  Jina enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son.  She also enjoys our office retreats, continuing education meetings & cruises.

 

 

 

 

 

Diane – RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Diane is a 1993 NVCC Dental Hygiene Program graduate.  She prides herself on being gentle, yet thorough.  She is an exceptional dental hygienist with over 25 years of experience all of those years spent right here at Nova Premier Dental.  Diane is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.  She enjoys going to the beach with her 2 children, gardening and spending quality time with the rest of her family of 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 parrots, and a rabbit.
